Absolute links : http://www.yourdomain.com/products/index.html

Relative link : /products/index.html

Most of the webmaster's use relative linking .Its better try relative or absolute any one of the linking style through out your web site .

Advantages of relative linking :

If you want to shift your pages to another domain name ,it is easy for relatively linked pages ,because in the link ,we have not mentioned the domain name

Relative link : /products/index.html - this link will work in any domain name .

But if you have used absolute link " http://www.yourdomain.com/products/index.html " ,it will work only on www.yourdomain.com .
